VFU – demanded and preferred partner for academic and scientific exchanges with foreign universities, academic and research communities and business organizations



VFU "Chernorizets Hrabar” the largest accredited private universityin Bulgaria with the educational capacity of 12 000 students for all educational levels, in accordance with the Bologna process - Bachelor, Master and PhD.

VFU is the first and only Bulgarian University so far, whose diplomas are awarded with ECTS Label and DS Label- the sign of quality and recognition of education in Europe. Additional guarantee for the convertibility of diplomas is the possession of a certificate for conformity of the university management system with the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000 and with the certification marks of ANAB and UKAS, as well.

As contemporary educational institution, VFU is oriented towards the implementation of new educational forms, based on the lifelong learning and web-based education in an attractive fan of specialties: Business administration, Public administration, Psychology, Law, International economic relations, Architecture, Construction of buildings and installations, Fashion and management in fashion, Interior design, National security protection, etc.

DEPARTMENT OF

ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT

 

Department of Administration and Management is structural unit of the Faculty of International Economics and Administration of Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar”. The both specialities of the department – Business administration and Public administration, were developed in 1991. Their last accreditation was in 2008, with a maximum assessment for a period of 5 years.

The department has its own highly qualified stable teaching stuff (32 lecturers), including prominent experts from practice. 27 of the lecturers have PhD (including 5 D.Sc.), 9 are professors and 12 are associate professors.

About 2300 students are trained at the department in the following educational profiles: for the speciality of Business administration/ Business management – Tourism management, International business management, Company management, Cultural tourism management; for the speciality of Public administration/ Public management – Administrative management, Public sector management, Judicial administration, Tax and customs administration.

In the twelve accredited master`s degree programmes of the department are trained about 200 students in the specialities: European administration, European public project management, Territorial administration, Leadership in organizational systems, Business leadership in global environment, International business project management, Business administration in tourism.

Over 15 doctoral students are enrolled in the PhD programmes in four accredited scientific specialities, in the field of business and public management.

The department is a member of honorable international organizations, as follows: NISPAcee, IASIA, EPAN. Among the international partners of the department are the A.S. Pushkin State Russian Language Institute in Moscow, North-West Academy of Public Administration – St. Petersburg, Kaluga branch, St. Petersburg`s State Polytechnical University, Institute of Public Administration in Peking, etc.
