Project: Capacity Building of Caucasus Academic PA Programmes
Project: Capacity Building of Caucasus Academic PA Programmes on the basis of EU Administrative Principles
Project period: April 2014 - March 2015
Project description: To share knowledge and experience of V4 and Caucasus in PA
teaching, training and research for institutional and administrative
capacity building based on EU administrative principles, which include the rule
of law, efficiency, effectiveness, openness, transparency, integrity and
citizens’ participation. The project outcomes will facilitate reform
processes, preparation for EU integration and regional cooperation and
awareness of importance of PA performance (criteria for EU integration).

and teachers in V4 region and to provide them an opportunity to
discuss actual Public Administration and Policy theories and
topics through participation in the 22nd NISPAcee Annual Conference
organized in cooperation with National University of Public Service
(Budapest) and Corvinus University
of Budapest (Budapest, Hungary, May 2014). Young academicians can be

The 7th NISPAcee – EGPA Trans-European Dialogue (TED7) 2014
The Faculty of Political, Public
Administration, and Communications Sciences at Babes Bolyai University,
Cluj-Napoca, Romania, in conjunction with NISPAcee (Network of Institutes and
Schools in Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe) and EGPA (European
Group for Public administration) hosted in Cluj, the 7th conference of the
Trans European Dialogue (TED7) on the topic of Strong Local Governments: Community, Strategy, Integration. The conference took place on 6-7
February, 2014 and brought together 35 scholars from the field of public
administration from western and eastern European countries.

IASIA Board of Management Meeting
The International
Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) held its Board
of Management Meeting (BoM) at the Headquarters of the IIAS (International
Institute of Administrative Sciences) in Brussels, Belgium. NISPAcee is a
corporate member of the organization. Ludmila Gajdosova, NISPAcee’s Executive
Director, participated in the meeting. She was elected a BoM member during the
last elections, which were held during last year’s IASIA Annual Conference in
Bahrain. The President of IASIA, Michiel de Vries, invited Ludmila Gajdosova to
serve as a Vice-President for Regional and International
Cooperation. In addition, Mrs. Gajdosova also serves as a co-chair of the Working
Group on Education and Training.

EGPA Steering Committee Meeting
The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) held
its Steering Committee meeting at the IIAS (International Institute of
Administrative Sciences) Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Ludmila Gajdosova,
NISPAcee’s Executive Director, was invited to participate in the Steering
Committee as an observer, based on the MoU signed by the two organisations in
2008.

EUPAN 61st Meeting of Directors General
The 61st Meeting of the Directors General responsible for
public administration in the European Union and the European Commission was
held in Vilnius on 5-6 December 2013 under the Lithuanian Presidency of the
Council of the European Union. The Meeting, as well as other EUPAN (European
Union Public Administration Network) activities, were organised and coordinated
by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania under the
leadership of Paulius Skardžius, Director of Public Governance Policy Department.

Elections to the European Parliament will be held in all
member states of the European Union (EU) between 22 and 25 May 2014, as decided
unanimously by a decision the Council of the European Union. It will be the
eighth Europe-wide election to the European Parliament since the first direct
