Membership
NISPAcee membership encompasses Member Institutions and Associate Members. Individuals can apply for individual membership.
Institutional Members: membership in NISPAcee shall be open to appropriately designated academic units within larger educational institutions (eg colleges, schools, divisions, departments, programmes, units, centres, institutes, faculties), to independent educational and training institutions having curricula leading to:
- graduate degrees in public policy, public management and administration;
- undergraduate degrees where public policy, public management and administration areas predominate; and
- diplomas or certificates in public policy, public management and administration,
to independent non-profit research institutions (e.g. think-tanks), or to governmental institutions and agencies in the NISPAcee region.
Associate Members: associate membership shall be open academic degreegranting institutions, agencies of government, corporations, foundations, professional associations, academic institutions offering diplomas or certificates, independent research or training organizations outside of the NISPAcee region, and other nonacademic organizations, and international organizations that subscribe to the purpose of NISPAcee.
NISPAcee region:
1. New EU member countries (Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia)
2. Non EU member countries in Eastern Europe (Belarus, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Turkey)
3. Countries in the West Balkans (Macedonia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro)
4. Countries of Central Asia (Kazkhstan, Kyrghyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan)
5. Countries in the Caucasus (Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan)
Individual Members: participation is open to professionals mainly involved in teaching, research, training and practice in public management and administration.
Principal Representative: each institutional and associate member shall designate a Principal Representative who will be its primary channel of communication to and from NISPAcee and who will be responsible for facilitating participation in NISPAcee activities by other personnel from the member institution.
Benefits of Member Institutions:
- receive copies of all NISPAcee publications including the quarterly Newsletter
- may contribute to NISPAcee publications
- may participate in NISPAcee General Assembly, Annual Conferences and other activities
- attend conferences organised by the NISPAcee at a reduced rate
- may utilize NISPAcee database service, maintain and publish their own data on the NISPAcee web page
Benefits of Individual Members:
- receive free of charge the quarterly Newsletter and 2 titles of the NISPAcee publications by own selection
- may contribute to NISPAcee publications
- attend conferences organised by the NISPAcee at a reduced rate
- to receive all NISPAcee circulars
Benefits are valid only for those members who pay the membership fees.
Eligibility for membership: decision on the eligibility of particular applicants for any category of membership shall be made by the Steering Committee. Acceptance will be contingent on candidates completing an application form and apying dues. A membership may be canceled by the written request of a member, or if a member does not fulfill the duties of membership. The Steering Committee may terminate the membership of particular organizations for non-conformity with the requirements and duties of membership, including the payment of dues.
Dues
In accordance with the by-laws NISPAcee dues for membership for a calendar year are:
Institutional membership
- new member states of EU : 350 EUR
- others: 300 EUR
Institutional members can apply for the EAPAA accreditation services. The additional fees for these services are 300 EUR.
Associate membership: 350 EUR
Individual Members:
- in the NISPAcee region: 75 EUR
- outside of the NISPAcee region: 100 EUR
The dues could be changed by a resolution of the General Assembly.
